Estonian-Latvian joint project helps improve accessibility to military heritage
The Estonian War Museum is participating in a joint Estonian-Latvian project aimed at improving accessibility to sites related to military history. The Military History Heritage Guide militaryheritagetourism.info was completed during the previous joint project.
The project will develop solutions to improve accessibility to 11 military heritage sites for schoolchildren, people with visual and mobility impairments, and people suffering from anxiety disorders.
At the end of September, an opening seminar was held in Riga, where the 12 partners of the project met and got to know each other better. The schedule and action plan for the activities planned in the project application were agreed upon, and plans were made on how to implement what had been agreed upon. The two-day partner meeting ended with a very inspiring visit to the Latvian War Museum with a guided tour.
