Defence League day and a new exhibition opening
On Saturday, November 22, from 12 noon to 4 p.m., the Estonian War Museum at Viimsi Manor will host a family event dedicated to the Estonian Defence League, during which a new permanent exhibition on the history of the Defence League will be opened. The opening will be accompanied by two renowned musicians, but in a different form than usual – in a camouflage: Johan Randvere on piano and Villu Vihermäe on cello, both members of the Tallinna Akadeemiline Malevkond.
Afterwards, you can take a guided tour or explore the new exhibition on your own. Members of the Defence League, Women’s Voluntary Defence Organisation, Home Daughters, and Young Eagles await everyone for an orienteering game in the manor and manor park, where you can learn something useful for life at each point.
- 12:00 Opening of the new exhibition on the history of the Defence League. Musicians in uniform.
- 13:00-14:00 Tour of the main building of the War Museum and the armoured train
- 13:00-16:00 Outdoor orienteering game for the whole family
Family Day will take place in all weather conditions, as befits national defence. Women’s Voluntary Defence Organisation will help combat the weather conditions by serving hot soup.
Admission and the entire program are free of charge.
NB! The Heavy Artillery Hall is closed.
Tallinna Akadeemiline Malevkond of the Defense League will contribute to the success of the event.
