Manor Café ‘Maria Juures’ at the Estonian War Museum on Viimsi Café Day
For one day only, the Estonian War Museum in Viimsi Manor will be transformed into a luxury pastry shop. We pay homage to the First Lady of the pre-war Republic of Estonia, General Johan Laidoner’s wife Maria Laidoner, who often hosted guests and friends of the young nation at the Laidoner summer residence in Viimsi Manor. The café’s counter is laden with Sandra’s cakes – bursting with summer berries and fruit, as they grew in abundance in Maria’s garden. Maestro Urmas Lattikas sets the mood on the piano that belonged to Maria Laidoner. The south-facing terrace invites you to enjoy the view of the majestic trees of Viimsi Manor Park. For the delight of the ladies, a vintage dress market is open in the manor ballroom. To make the decision easier, there will also be a fashion show at 13:00.
